How we work

Every PhD student has a weekly one-on-one with me, and the group meets every two weeks to discuss each other's work. Three questions run through all of it: What is the problem, in one sentence? Why does it matter? Why is it still open? Being able to answer them is most of what it takes to write a good paper.

The question we ask most often in the lab is why something doesn't work. Finding out, on real hardware, is a large part of the job.

Joining

I supervise PhD students at DLR and MSc projects at DLR and TU/e. If you want to work on control or design of robots for contact and impact, write to me with your CV and transcripts.
